HOW TO SET THE IP/NETWORK ADDRESS ON YOUR SIGMA, VISIONPASS OR MORPHOWAVE BIOMETRIC READER
Important
If you are running PoE (Power Over Ethernet) on either the Sigma or MorphoWave, then please DO NOT connect an external 12v power pack/supply, as doing so will inhibit network connectivity with the unit.
The following guide is only valid for use with a Static IP Address
Enter the ‘Administration Menu’ on the Morpho Sigma, VisionPass or MorphoWave Reader by pressing the bottom-Left Button on the Main Screen (a lock with a key).
Then default password (unless user changed) is ‘12345’ followed by the √.
Next on the Main Menu select the ‘Communication’ (Sigma: top-right icon or VisionPass or MorphoWave: second-down right icon) option. Next select ‘Network Interface’ ,then ‘Ethernet’, then ‘IP Settings’ and finally 'IPV4'.
Then under 'IP Mode' ensure it is set to 'Static'.
Next select ‘IP Address’ and enter the required IP Address.
(At this time you can likewise set the 'Subnet Mask' and 'Gateway Address' if required)
When finished press √.
Important
The IP address used/assigned to the Sigma, VisionPass or MorphoWave Reader in the above will also require to be entered into our Lauranka COMMS Communications Software in the ‘Terminal Setup’ option. So please ensure you take note of it for this purpose.
