SETTING A NEW SIGMA FINGERSCAN, VISIONPASS OR MORPHOWAVE READER ON DEMAND SECURITY VIA MBTB
You only require doing the following if your Idemia Reader is not set to 'On Demand' security.
(The easiest way to confirm is if you can ping the Reader via the COMMS Sigma - Setup Screen, but don't get a response via 'Ask Terminal' function)
STEP 1. Download, unzip and install Idemias MBTB Software
STEP 2. Open/Run 'MBTB'
STEP 3. Next on the 'Connection' Tab/Screen enter -
1. For the 'Address' type in the Static IP Address of the Idemia Reader
2. For the 'TLS Configuration' select 'Factroy'
3. Finally press the 'Connection'
This should now establish a connection
STEP 4. Next on the 'Diagnostic' Tab/Screen select the 'Enable On Demand Security' option (bottom tab)
STEP 5. Finally, confirm and change the Security
The Reader will now go through a reboot and restart process. Occasionally you may find the Reader will not reboot fully after this process. If you encounter this simply power down the Reader for a few seconds and power back up. Once up and going you can continue with the COMM Sigma Setup.
